The brand new Chevrolet car model is coming. The car manufacturer is currently working on its latest green offering that will come with a starting price of $28,645, which include the destination price of $875, the Northern Californian reported.

The latest green offering of Chevrolet will be named Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT. It is scheduled to be released in this coming spring. The recent green car model is pricier than its predecessor. It is $6,145 more expensive compared to the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. It is also a little pricier than its contenders - $2,000 more expensive than the Toyota Camry Hybrid and $3,000 more expensive than the Ford Fusion Hybrid.

Despite being more expensive, it is still worth it! Why? It is because it has more features and better improvements to offer. The best thing about this auto is that it is built with the fuel economy in mind. According to the Auto Blog, it is better compared to any midsize hybrid sedan as it is capable of 48 mpg. It also features an electric motor that comes with 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery and a 2.8-liter engine where its power is coming from. Combining the power of its electric motor and engine, it can produce up to 182 horsepower.

The West Texas News reported that Steve Majoros, who is the Chevrolet cars and accessories' marketing director, compared Malibu to the Chevrolet Volt. They consider the forthcoming latest green offering of the car manufacturer as something that comes from the technology and knowledge used for the second generation of Volt. It is said that the car offers the same system. However, it has a larger gas engine, smaller battery and without the plug.

There are more things to look forward to the brand new Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid LT. In the reports, people can expect to see the car with ventilated leather seats and a rear vision camera. They also talk about its 4G connectivity that can make it as a Wi-Fi hotspot, definitely one of the greatest things it can offer! It is also said that it will provide Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which makes it great for both Android and Apple users. Of course, privacy statements and data rate require and apply a compatible smartphone.

Many car lovers are already very excited about the 2016 Malibu now that its launching day is almost there. Are you also one of those who are looking forward to it?
