While “Thor: Ragnarok” is still a long way from release, new rumors about the third installment of the Asgardian's solo movie have popped up.

SPOILER ALERT!

This article contains possible major spoilers that will give you ideas about what could happen in the movie. If you don't want spoilers, check out Paul Rudd's “Ant-Man” fitness regime instead. It'll help you become fit like a hero.

Rumors about “Thor: Ragnarok” say that Cate Blanchett will be playing the role of a major villain. Geek reports that the A-lister will bring the character of Hela to life. She will reportedly be the movie's main antagonist, and she'll be up to no good.

“Sources have confirmed with Geek.com that the big bad of 'Thor: Ragnarok' will be Hela, the Marvel comic book character who is the ruler of Hel and the realm of Niflheim,” reports the news outlet.

Apparently, this tidb comes courtesy of actor Mark Ruffalo, who will be reprising his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the upcoming film. The excited actor had a slip of the tongue while talking to ET and released a tiny (but major) bit of information that movie spoilers and scoopers want to get.

“I saw her at the Governors' banquet here and heard that maybe she was circling, they were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, 'Please, please, please make this work!'" Ruffalo said.

"She's just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting," he added.

Blanchett's portrayal of Hela has the potential to make the film a real thriller. Reports speculate that when Thor (Chris Hemsworth) gets to face Hela, things will not go so well for the hero.

“Not only does she banish Thor from Asgard, but she destroys [Thor's hammer] Mjolnir!” said Geek.

Well, having Blanchett play the role of a major baddie won't be bad at all. Geek notes that she has played the role of powerful Galadriel in “The Lord of The Rings,” and having her play a powerful character in “Thor” will be quite exciting. Add the fact that she will be working in cahoots with Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and this is definitely something to watch out for.

So far, these are just rumors. Best take it all with a grain of salt.

Also, don't let it steal your attention away from the other Avengers, who will bashing each other in “Captain America: Civil War.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” releases in theaters November 3, 2017.
