Honor 8 Nougat Update: Smartphone Gets Android & EMUI 5.0 Updates In Feb 2017[VIDEO]

Huawei fans have something to cheer in this holiday season. Honor 8 released by Huawei in July 2016 is set to get Android Nougat 7 update along with EMUI 5 in February 2017.

The 5.2-inch smartphone is rolled out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Huawei in-house skin, Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1. The device flawless OS backed by power-packed hardware, surprised many geeks. Honor 8 released with amazing specs and sparkling features offered at unbeatable prices compared to its peers.

As per Android Authority, the EMUI 4.1 is a machine learning algorithm feature that recognizes the usage patterns of the user and accordingly optimizes the device resources to deliver punchy performance. On the similar lines, EMUI 5.0 also an overlay on the Honor 8 but with advanced features.

EMUI 5.0 optimizes the device resources like CPU, prioritize the Apps and battery as per user inputs and usage history. The user also has the option to switch profiles between work profile and personal profile with a simple toggle button in the settings.

The interface contains an "App Lock", which can secure the priority Apps from being misused. The different battery profiles help to save more juice for real performance and give more life throughout the day.

The EMUI 5.0 has already tested on the Huawei Mate 9 and tweaked to honor 8 based on the feedback. Both models are set to roll out Nougat 7 and EMUI 5.0 in February 2017, according to Android Central.

Some more good news for Honor 8 user is that Huawei has promised 2 years guaranteed updates for this model. Which means not only Nougat 7, Honor 8 may see one more update in its life cycle.

Honor 8 boasts with an incredible camera that delivers 12MP resolution with rear camera and 8MP resolution with the front facing camera. The phone gives a sharp display with 423 ppi pixel density.

The bundled cost of the 32GB variant is just under $400, far less than any premier phone with these specs and features. Coupled with Android Nougat 7 and EMUI 5.0, the Honor 8 makes rivals run for their money.
