At Last Discovery Of A Major Breakthrough In Treating Cancer And Tumor With Nanohyperthermia

At last extensive research and desperate eagerness provides a major breakthrough in treating tumors and cancers. A team of researchers explores nanohyperthermia to treat tumors and simultaneously provides a major improvement in treating cancers.

A great number of people on this earth suffer from a wrong conception that tumor means cancer. Even some people who are not the victim of this health problem still suffer from the phobia of cancer. Nanohyperthermia is the perfect answer for them.

The research team that discovers this process includes researchers of CNRS, Paris Descartes University, the Paris Diderot University. French National Institute of Health and Medical Research or INSERM is also an essential part of the team.    

Some unique steps collectively bring success to this method, called nanohyperthermia. The first step of this method is to inject the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) directly into the tumors. Next laser irradiation is used to activate the nanotubes.

The major success of this process is that it can keep the surrounding tissues of the tumors intact. The laser irradiation only works on that portion which contains the CNTs, and the surrounding portion which contains healthy tissues remain intact forever.

Some key facts about tumors and cancers

Most of the times, tumors stiffen due to some specific reasons. Sources from CNRS reveal that abnormal or improper "organization of the collagen fibers and extracellular matrix (ECM)" is the key cause of this stiffness.

Now when it is the malignant tumor, then this specific stiffening enhances the cancer cells to increase and metastasize. Metastasize means to spread the cancer cells to other parts of the body by metastasis.  

So far using of therapeutic agents is the key way to treat tumors as well as to decrease the chance of cancer. But the list of success stories is not satisfactory. Extracellular matrix or ECM creates a physical barrier that halts the penetration by the therapeutic agents.

Several treatments are already discovered to gain success. But all the time this ECM plays the key role to disrupt the success of those treatments. But nanohyperthermia can be the ultimate answer to this problem.

The successive ways of Nanohyperthermia

As already mentioned, that the first step of nanohyperthermia is the use of CNTs. After injecting CNTs into the tumor, infrared light is used to activate the CNT concentration area.

The researchers then monitor the stiffness of the tumor with the "ultrasound shear wave elastography". Shear wave is used only to map the tissue elasticity. This process is continued with two consecutive sessions at a day's interval.

These steps ultimately force the tumors gain heat at 52 degrees C for 3 minutes at a stretch. Nanohyperthermia actually denatures the collagen fibers and reduces the volume and the stiffness of the tumors for a long term.

The process actually disrupts the structure of the tumor. This disruption can provide a major effectiveness to treat cancer. If malignant tumors can be eliminated, then the word "cancer" can't survive anymore.
