Karen Gillan is set to reprise her role as Nebula in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." While Nebula is an antagonist in the franchise, she is one character that a lot of fans are getting interested in.

Karen Gillan Talks Nebula

The "Not Another Happy Ending Star" recently sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and dropped some teasers about her character in the highly anticipated sequel. She revealed that fans will see a "whole new side" of Nebula when the movie releases.

The 29-year-old Scottish actress went on to reveal that moviegoers will see a "much more human side" of Nebula. Apparently, this side of her was not showcased in "Guardians of the Galaxy." Gillan added that Nebula's issues with her father will further be discussed in the sequel.

Below are three interesting trivia about Karen Gillan's Nebula.

Trivia 1: The Connection with Gamora

While many comic book fans already know this, some do not. Gamora and Nebula are the adopted daughters of Thanos. The first movie dropped some hints about the sibling rivalry that the two always had.

Last year, Gillan dished to Comic Book Resources that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will show more about the sisters' past. The actress said the plot for the sequel will dig deeper into Nebula and Gamora's "sisterly relationship."

Trivia 2: Regeneration

Fans have seen how powerful and skilled Nebula is. Aside from having been transformed by Thanos into a cyborg, she is also agile, and can withstand numerous injuries. According to the Wikia page dedicated to the Marvel villain, Nebula also has the capability to repair herself.

It may not be too much for some fans to speculate that Nebula's regenerative abilities will be further showcased in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." However, Marvel has yet to officially confirm what other things about the character will be tackled in the film.

Trivia 3: Nebula Will Step Up in "GOTGV2"

Last year, director James Gunn revealed that Karen Gillan's character will be "huge" in the upcoming film. While she already plays a major role in setting up the back story of Gamora, it appears that there will be more to Nebula than just the adoptive child of Thanos.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is slated to land on theaters May 5, 2017. Stay tuned for more updates.
