Another rumor that has been churned out from the mill is adding more excitement to video game fans leading to the much-anticipated release of the action role-playing game "Kingdom Hearts 3." Reports say that game developer and publisher Square Enix has been in the finishing stages of the game production and that the video game could hit the shelves this coming December.

It was, actually, after the retail giant Amazon came out with a list of games that the speculations started to ramp up. But, before fans really get their hopes up, the possibility of it being released just for pre-orders and not its actual availability in stores should not be discounted, according to Motoring Crunch.

One "Kingdom Hearts 3" exec said that the reason for the delay in the development of the game was due to the engine used in the game. "The transition was quite a process. We pretty much had to start from the ground again. We had to make sure that we could recreate our key effects in the Unreal Engine and that the effects we specifically needed for Kingdom Hearts could be adapted."

The video game, which is distributed by Disney Interactive Studios, is, in fact, one of the most anticipated in the list released by the most widely recognized gaming magazine in Japan, the Famitsu.

Along with another game produced by Square Enix, the "Final Fantasy 15", "Kingdom Hearts 3" made it to the top 10 of the much-awaited list of video games voted by fans from Oct. 29 through Nov. 4, wrote Nintendo Everything.

"Final Fantasy 15" ranked number two, behind only "Monster Hunter X" for the 3DS, while "Kingdom Hearts 3" moved one spot higher in the rankings where it now stands at no. 7. It even beats out other popular games like "Fallout 4," "Street Fighter V" and "The Legend of Zelda."

The game will still feature its main protagonist Sora and will be joined by the loveable gang, which includes Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku. Their mission is to stop the evil plan of Master Xehanort to incite another Keyblade War.

The game is set to have new Disney worlds that fans can watch out for like the "Tangled" world. Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura revealed during E3 2015 that it was really one of the worlds they were so keen to include because of the character Rapunzel. He said that it was her strong personality, as well as her hair, which she could utilize in many ways like for attack that makes it appealing for them.
