Kanye West's Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 black was released on Saturday, Dec. 19 and, just like previous designs, this footwear also comes with a large rectangular Velcro strapped across the front. But after the shoes hit the market and started selling fast, Kanye was spotted going out and about in public wearing what looks like a strapless all-black Yeezy Boost 750. Did Kanye have a special design without strap or is this a new Yeezy Boost?

Per High Snobiety, it's still unclear what high-top sneaker model Kanye was exactly wearing that weekend, but the Yeezy Boost appeared to have a "slimmer and cleaner overall silhouette." Fans of the footwear actually liked what they saw, prompting others to do the impossible and "customize" their newly-bought Yeezy Boost 750 black.

Complex reported that a shoe lover took some scissors to cut the strap off his Yeezy Boost to copy Kanye's kicks. This has been dubbed as "The Yeezy Affect" and the fan posted what he did to his Yeezy Boost 750 on Twitter.

Some folks expressed their disbelief for the "customization," considering Yeezy Boost shoes are expensive at $350 a pair, rare and very hard to purchase because of such high demand and limited supply.

"[You] could have at least done it right and undo the stitching and pull the strap and sew it back up...that probably looks terrible," said one Twitter commenter. "Small Chinese children's hands had a hard time putting these shoes together. And now you cutting them apart?!" another posted.

Still, some fans of the footwear think that the whole thing is a Photoshop stunt.

In many stores, the sales of the Yeezy Boost 750 black are being raffled off to give all interest buyers a fair chance of coveting them. But even with this tactic, the demand is still high, per Turn To 10 News.

"We had people bring in mothers, sisters, we had a couple of grandmothers, grandpas, it gets pretty serious," said sneaker lover Maher Najjar who joined a store raffle in Providence. Najjar is one of thousands who entered, but didn't win. "Every time a shoe comes out with Adidas and Kanye West it just causes just a big buzz," added Najjar in the report.
