If you're one of those who gorged themselves on food and have succeeded in racking up pounds during the holidays, most likely you'll be one who made a New Year's resolution to get fit this year. What better way to help motivate and keep track of yourself than by using a fitness tracker?

Currently, more than 300 trackers are available for buyers to choose from, reports SpecOut. Most likely, choosing just one out of all these will bring a workout in itself.

Having a problem choosing one for yourself? Not anymore because here's a list of the top five trackers you can use from this year.

LESS THAN $50

Xiaomi Mi Band

While Chinese tech company Xiaomi has been referred to as a brand that does a good job copying other brands -- as in the case of Apple, reports Cult of Android, the Mi Band apparently works well for a cheap $15.

The Mi Band is worn like a wristwatch and has a 30-day battery lifespan. Although it doesn't have an LED screen unlike other bands, it does communicate to the wearer by way of LED lights.

Misfit Wearables Flash

This neat wristwatch-type fitness tracker is a decent buy at $50. In fact, it has waterproof capabilities on top of basic tracking and sleep measurement uses. Swimmers on a budget can consider this a best buy.

UP TO $100

Fitbit One

Fitbit is still considered the “gold standard” in fitness tracking and is recommended by experts, says SpecOut. This model, however, is not a wristwatch-type. Instead, it can be clipped onto the user's clothing. It also has a high-quality OLED screen which easily informs users of their current fitness stats.

The Fitbit One is available for less than $100.

MORE THAN $100

Fitbit Charge HR

If you're not an athlete but would want to have the best fitness tracking device that would help you reach your fitness goals, look no further than the Fitbit Charge HR, reports the Business Insider.

This nifty wrist-worn device is available for about $150, but offers accurate measurements for your heart rate, steps and sleep metrics, all while looking good. It also has a tiny display that provides visual feedback, and a silent alarm to wake you up for a morning jog without disturbing anyone else in your room.

Garmin Forerunner 920XT

While some consider it expensive at $450, this huge tracker balances that out with the technology crammed inside its frame: it can record steps, swims, bike runs, sleep metrics and some more data. It also has some more functions included.

Of course, there are other trackers available for you to choose from. Have fun shopping!
