Marvel's “Guardians of The Galaxy,” directed by James Gunn, is known to have some weird characters included. A new report claimed that it might possibly include a weirder, larger character from the Marvel universe.

GOTG2,” which currently hosts Rocket, a weapon-inventing talking raccoon and Groot, a talking tree who only has four words in its vocabulistics, is rumored to have a weird, huge character named Ego.

Geek reported this Ego is a huge character, as he is a living planet. Comic Vine stated that Comic readers will probably know him as he has appeared in 162 issues including “Thor,” “Nova” and “X-Men Extra."

Geek said that Ego used to be a normal planet until a cosmic being known as The Stranger made it live by giving it consciousness. However, CV stated that, according to comic lore, Ego was given life by the being known as Super-Ego (anybody here who loves Sigmund Freud?).

Ego then, in a search for itself, took off on a conquest to conquer other planets and met other Marvel characters such as Thor, Galactus, the Wanderers and a lot more, either to side with him or against him along the way.

Ego will not appear in Taika Waititi's film given that “Thor: Ragnarok” appears to be centered on Asgard and Ragnarok itself. This is despite the fact that he seems to be a character in need of a cosmic background and looks like he'll make a good fit as Thor's enemy.

However, Ego just might find himself in good company in “GOTG,” alongside Groot and Rocket.

Ego has ties with the “GOTG” universe. As a matter of fact,Ego has recently hired Rocket to take out the space lice that was infesting him. Thanos, who already appeared in the movie, once tried to take over the living planet as well.

Additionally, comic lore revealed that Ego has a brother named Alter-Ego who is being held by The Collector, who was there in the first movie, played by Benicio del Toro.

Everybody will just have to wait for this rumor to be confirmed even if Ego looks like a really good fit for "GOTG."

"Guardians of The Galaxy 2" is scheduled for release May 5, 2017.
