Kristin Cavallari was brought to the hospital after a car crash Thursday, but her rep said that she is ok.

The 29-year-old reality star and wife of NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was driving in downtown Chicago when she was hit by another car. Chicago Tribune reported that the publicist didn't provide any other details to the car crash but said, "She is doing fine and will be discharged from the hospital shortly." It is believed that Kristin did not suffer any injuries.

Chicago Sun Times reported that her husband arrived at the hospital following the accident and the couple's children were not with their mom during the car crash. Kristin and Jay has three kids -- Camden, 3, Jaxon, 1, and Saylor, 2 months.

Kristine's family went through a difficult period last December when the body of her missing brother, Michael, was discovered in Utah. E! Online reported that the death gave the star emotional stress and her family was concerned for her health because she had just given birth in November.

"She's not a Hollywood mom. She doesn't have a lot of help. This has been tough on her," said a source via E! "She's always been protective of him and tried to help him however she could."

Kristin posted a tribute to her brother on social media after learning about the sad news. The star of "The Hills" received comfort and condolences from her followers.

"My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP," she wrote on her Instagram.

The family is still waiting for the results of the toxicology report on Michael's death but the cops' initial investigation showed no signs of drugs, alcohol or suicide. However, Michael had been struggling with his life and was actually arrested in California prior to his death.

Meanwhile, Kristin is due to release a book that charts her health, diet, exercise, family life and style. Called "Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making it all Work," it will have 230 pages and will be in bookstores March 15.
