"Game of Thrones" fans have been debating whether or not Jon Snow will miraculously be alive in the upcoming season. After months of secrecy, Kit Harrington spills on Jon Snow's fate on the 6th season of "Game of Thrones": Jon Snow is dead and isn't coming back to the show.

In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy about his upcoming theatre production in London of "Doctor Faustus," Harrington echoed once more his earlier sentiments last year about his character in the "Game of Thrones." He also added that fans should get used to the prospect that Jon Snow is really dead.

"People don't want me to die, but he's dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it," he said, according to Digital Spy.

According to Vanity Fair, the statement is almost the same as what his co-star Maisie Williams told reporters last week: "I can't say he's going to be alive." This has been the constant statement of the other cast members for the past nine months.

The actor has been avoiding the press in the past year, understandably so. For the past seven months, he has been hounded by fans and media in all places. When asked how he survived last year's media hype, he answered, "I've just hit the ground and gone undercover." "I've tried to do absolutely no press for anything," the actor added.

Despite the fact that he has been pursued mercilessly in hotels, airports and the streets of Belfast, he was quite pleased by how fans took Jon Snow's death. "I was hoping that there would be an outcry of 'why?' and 'oh god, no, no' rather than 'thank god'. That was the right reaction as far as I was concerned!" he said during the interview with Digital Spy.

Aside from saying that his character has already died, Harrington hinted that, if Jon Snow were to make an appearance in the new season, it would be minimal. According to him, he has not filmed for the series for a long time. That gave him a chance to focus on other projects. He will soon make a return in the theatre production of Jamie Lloyd's new London production of "Doctor Faustus."

"Yeah, absolutely. Can't wait for the next season", he answered when asked if he would be watching "Game of Thrones" even if his character is dead, reports Digital Spy.

Digital Spy is not sure whether Harrington was serious that Jon Snow is dead despite several sightings of him in the Season 6 set reported last year by Vanity Fair. Fans will just have to wait until April 24 when "Game of Thrones" returns on HBO.
