Bethesda Softworks announced this week that the rebooted game will be released on May 13th this year. The first-person shooter game was originally released in 1993 and it looks like it will be more violent and bloody than before, according to The Verge.

Take a look at the trailer below:

In the game's official page, the studio describes it as an "intense first-person combat."

"DOOM returns as a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. Relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement provide the foundation for intense, first-person combat - whether you're obliterating demon hordes through the depths of Hell in the single-player campaign, or competing against your friends in numerous multiplayer modes."

The rebooted "Doom" will be released on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.

According to Mirror, it has been more than 10 years since a "Doom" game come out. The last "Doom 3" game was released in 2004 and the new one was intended to be the fourth sequel before it was decided at Id Software to have the new one be a reboot.

In addition to single-player campaign modes and multiplayer, a new mode called DOOM SnapMap will allow players to make their own map, play and share it with others.

The gaming company announced that they wil also release a Premium Collector's Edition and pre-order freebies. According to IGN, the collector's edition will come with a copy of the game and a 12-inch tall statue of the Revenant demon.

On its Amazon preorder page, the edition is described as:

"Created in conjunction with Triforce, the DOOM Collector's Edition includes an exclusive, fully-realized 12" tall collector's statue of one of DOOM's most iconic demons: the Revenant. Made of high-quality PVC and modeled from actual in-game 3D files, the Revenant stands on an LED-lit base with internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars.

"The DOOM Collector's Edition also includes the highly-anticipated game, packaged in an exclusive metal case."

As for the standard editions, fans who pre-order will get a Demon Multiplayer Pack which contains a special armor set, three skins, six metallic paint colors and three Id logos.

All "Doom" pre-orders will also come with 6 different and exclusive "Hack Modules" that will give players a significant advantage over others. The "Doom" Premium Collector's Edition can be pre-ordered for $120. The standard edition can also be preorderd at $60.
