There is a new speculation in the gaming world today that Rockstar Games will finally release the sequel of "Red Dead Redemption." Fans were getting already aggravated by all the rumors and speculations with regard to the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2." However, this time, it appears that there is a positive message about all of these.

This couldn't have been perfectly plan by Rockstar Games. The game developer may have triggered the rumors and speculations because they obviously want to put in some hype to the sequel leading up to the release. It adds up to the anticipation that could bring positive effects to the success of the franchise.

Nevertheless, this new rumored release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" is making fans super excited for the release of this highly-anticipated game.

According to a report by CrossMap, there are speculations that Rockstar Games are currently developing two of their best-selling games. Rumor has it that "Grand Theft Auto 6" and "Red Dead Redemption 2" are the two video games the company is currently working on. Although there are no official announcements from them, fans are beginning to believe that this will be the year of the "Red Dead Redemption" franchise.

GameKlan's Suresh Gupta said that Rockstar Games is planning an October 2016 release of the Red Dead sequel calling it "Red Dead Revolution." Gupta added that the game developer will create a new story, which will make John Marston's son, Jack as the main protagonist. This should be pretty exciting as some fans had previously stated in many different forums that Jack should have his own Western story.

According to Gupta, the new "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be available to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In a report by MNR, Rockstar was happy with the success of the first "Red Dead Revolution," which was release in 2010. It will be a dumb decision not to make this video game a franchise.

In a statement by the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, he said that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will definitely become a franchise.

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It's obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that 'Red Dead' is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others," he said stated in a report gathered by MNR.
