Many gamers are dying to get their hands on "Kingdom Hearts 3" but, up to now, the anticipated game is still out of sight and no official release date has been announced. There are speculations that "KH3" will be the last iteration of the gameplay. However, it seems unlikely.

Director Tetsuya Nomura spoke with NowGamer where he announced that the culmination of "Kingdom Hearts" was never brought up yet.

"The discussion of the end of Kingdom Hearts has never come up between me and Disney, so I don't know what their intentions are. But while creating Kingdom Hearts, with each generation, I think to myself 'This should be something that can't be accomplished by just Disney'," Nomura said, per Attack of the Fanboy.

Nomura stressed that the series depends on how long he could keep working on it.

"It has to be something uniquely Kingdom Hearts. So it's a matter of how long can I keep creating for Kingdom Hearts! I don't know if the fans would enjoy it as much if it was just Disney, if it wasn't a combination of Disney and my own creativity."

With this statement, Nomura seems to emphasize that the series will last as long as he keeps creating new gameplay for it. In general, it depends on him. This will surely make "Kingdom Hearts" fans happy, especially those who want to see more of the game after "Kingdom Hearts 3."

Meanwhile, new reports claim that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is unlikely to come out this year. Latinos Health previously reported that the title is pushed back to a 2017 release.

At the moment, there is still no official release date for the anticipated title, which somehow reflects, Square Enix's policies.

"According to Square Enix's official rules, we are allowed to announce the release date for a game once it gets to this stage in development," said "Final Fantasy" director Hajime Tabata, Design & Trend reported.

We do not know what stage Tabata is talking about, but one thing is certain: the project has to reach a certain completion status before the team is allowed to announce a release date. So, while there is no official release date for "Kingdom Hearts 3," then perhaps, the development team is still short of reaching the required stage.

At the time, Square Enix is prepping for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" final chapter prologue for PS4. This title will also act as the prequel to the event in "Kingdom Hearts 3," PlayStation Universe reported. This title is slated for release in 2016.

Meanwhile, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is still in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
