Starbucks jumps on hype train through Pokémon GO-themed beverages! [VIDEO]

Pokémon GO, released in April 2016, turned out to be youth's most favorite game. The game is about catching Pokémon and evolving them for conquering Gym and battles, captivated the youth a lot with humungous downloads across all platforms.

Pokémon GO pushed people into cafes, restaurants, and stores to capture Pokémon and get exciting freebies or perks. Such turned out to be a crowd puller at some select locations in the USA.

Starbucks, the retail coffee shop giant, is trying to ride on the success of the game by offering exciting offers to the people coming to Starbucks. Yes, that is true!

A leak from a Starbucks employee has confirmed the offers thrown up by Starbucks to woo the customers. From December 8 onwards, Starbucks is doing a promotional sale of a beverage, leaked the internal document as reported in Reddit.

The Starbucks Pokémon-themed beverage is a limited offer across select retail chains in the US. The Starbucks stores would behave as loot-loaded Pokestops or competitive gyms. Upon entering the stores, a new character will emerge; this could be the 100 new Pokémon, as per the leaked document.

There is a possibility of a Pokémon GO "Gen2" update around the corner which activates this new offer. The game prompts the user that can order new Frappuccino Pokémon GO Blended Crème beverage, a Frappuccino mixed with raspberry syrup. Players will not get any discount if they have a huge pile of inventory of raspberries. Those who do not play the game can order the beverage at cost.

Starbucks instructed its retail store not to canvass about the offer with hoarding or pamphlets and let gamers find it out as a surprise! Niantic is trying to pull off some rabbit out of the hat with this offer. The fact customers, with the help of staff, try to get this offer and get access to the beverage.
