After the death of the famous Wolverine, the clone of Wolverine, Laura Kinney, aka X-23, took the responsibility on her shoulders to protect the people.

Laura cloned with the Wolverine DNA, treats him as a figure after his death. She wears the same costume as wolverine, yellow and blue suit. But, the suit going to be changed to give her stealth and armored protection. Tom Taylor, the writer of All-new Wolverine series, gave insights into the new role of this character and more about the suit itself, as per GameSpot.

Taylor jotted that in the first series "immune", Laura is adapting and growing to become more powerful. Laura suit is part of her evolution to help her dominate. The new suit is a bullet proof to protect her from getting hurt and bullets ripping through her.

In designing the suit, Mark Paniccia, Christina Harrington, and Taylor went through a lot of iterations and discussions with Leonard Kirk, the artist. The suit is intended to give stealth feature as well. The suit does resemble the X-force costume and make her survive the series of tough encounters in the Immune series, reports NewsaRama.

The immune story is about an alien child crash lands into a major city in a bid to escape. Unfortunately, the child is infected with virus and child succumbs to it. But, before that, the child utters "Laura Kinney". Slowly, the alien contagion has infected thousands in the city and that results in the rising death count.

SHIELD, working with other governments, quarantines the whole city. Now, only Laura, the descendant of Wolverine can walk through and save the city's people. Will she save the city, risking her life? The Immune series is all about her survival and fighting spirit in her.

Viewers won't be surprised to erstwhile Marvel heroes like Peter Parker or Ironman or Janet Van Dyne or Black Panther in a little cameo role in this series. New alien characters are also not ruled out. So, keep waiting for surprises in the plot.

Taylor is particularly impressed by the art of Leonard Kirk with the costumes. Immune is set to start from April 2017 in the All-New Wolverine #19.
