The wait is finally over for the Homeland series fans, as the season 6 is about to premiere on January 15,2017. According to reports, the season is expected to be full of surprises for its viewers. Like other seasons, this season too will feature Carrie (Claire Danes) and her friend Peter Quinn.

Homeland season 6 will take the audience to the New York City, where former CIA Officer Carrie has started her new life.

As the series comes with a time jump, the makers are assumed to mark the changes which have taken place in the life of the two main characters of the show, over time.

The early season of the series has seen Carrie consider dropping out on Quinn and her boss, Otto, who wants to marry her. In the recent season 6 spoiler of Homeland, Carrie will be seen raising her daughter. Interestingly, Quinn will be shown alive, but he might come with a complete transformation in his character.

As Alex Gansa said, "So who's really in power? Is it the sitting president? Is it the president elect? What is the business of the intelligence agencies? Is it to educate the new president coming in, who may have different ideas? What are their agendas with this new president, and how do Carrie, Saul, Dar and the whole ensemble fit into that complex transfer of power that occurs every year in this 72-day period?"

The series will also see the tension between Dar and Carrie, their long rivalry will make a return. Just this time during the Presidential elections. As the viewers can make out from the promo Carrie is in no mood to have a connection with Dar. She is seen in the promo to threaten Dar, if he hurts her.

All that the fans need to do is wait to see the turn of event in the life of their favorite character Carrie. Till then, keep assuming!
