The Motorola Moto Z Play is part of the series of Moto smartphones along with Moto Z & Moto Z Force. And of course, compared to its siblings it is an inferior phone.

Moto Z Play is the budget phone which suits for people who are not overwhelmed about specs. Moto Z Play has mid-range specs and features that can satisfy the user who is just looking for day-to-day normal activities like average battery life and medium internet speed for Apps & Games.

Having said that, Moto Z copies the same cute design as Moto Z and is compatible with Moto Mod accessories.  Moto Z Play rolled out with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow initially. But, now Motorola is planning to release Android Nougat 7.0 on Moto Z, Moto Z Force and Moto M. This will boost the chances of Moto Z Play also being rolled out with Nougat from next year onwards.

Moto Z Play is 5.5" glass full HD Super AMOLED display made of thin metal bezel housing the glass display. The phone is slim & ergonomically designed and rounded on the edges to give a rich feel. The phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which is expandable, as reported in Android Headlines

The device is equipped with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. Apart from the above, it offers features like phase detection, auto-focus, Dual LED flash and etc. It packed with a battery of 3150mAh to give one-day battery life on normal usage.

Moto Z Play with model number XT1635-02 has recently received a Wi-Fi certification as per a leaked image from GFXbench. The image shows Moto Z play was running on Android Nougat 7.0 and it backed with 2.5GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi frequencies, reported in Neurogadget

The image further confirms the rumor that Android Nougat 7.0 is highly likely for Moto Z Play. Nougat 7.0 has interesting features like multi-window operation, support for Google Daydream project and many more exciting features being bundled out. Stay tuned with us for more updates!
