After much criticisms for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the smartphone company is moving on and is gearing up to release its newest product, the Galaxy S8 slated to come out in the market on the first quarter of 2017.

Though, the release date for the Galaxy S8 is yet to be confirmed, speculations already spread like wildfire that it will be released on or before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 tradeshow in New York.

According to Android Authority, the upcoming smartphone is slated to be launched between February 27 and March 2 in 2017. These dates will also be memorable in Samsung's smartphone history as the arrival of the S8 will finally join the last three Galaxy S series namely, the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7.

Another report from Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge said that the smartphone will reach the market on February 28, 2017.

Though release dates vary, one thing certain, the S8 will be released in the first quarter next year which means a few more weeks to go before techies can get hold of the latest phone in the Samsung series.

Consumers who wanted an earlier release date may even be happier to know that the first batch of the smartphone may be available in the market starting January. This, however, may be limited and more stocks will arrive on February, Trusted Reviews said.

The delay may be part of Samsung's strategic move to 'work with external agencies' so as to foster more trust among consumers before they introduce the new product.

Months before its launching, there has already been an ample amount of rumors stating the specs and features of the much-anticipated smartphone. Latest photos showed that the S8 Edge follows the previously released filed patent that includes a unique feature of not having a home button and an almost full-face screen. The earlier design, however, is modified with a much slim design with a curved glass on both front and back of the phone making it more unique compared to previous Samsung phones.

The Galaxy S8 Edge also comes along with a smart watch that works with the smartphone and a remote control. For its camera, it claims to have the best shots with its 30MP rear camera and 12Mp front camera with a dual LED flash. Such advanced features are said to be best for geotagging, face recognition and smile detection among others.
