"Flip or Flop" may never be the same again now that hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa declared their separation this month. And thus, questions have been floating in the air whether the show will still continue producing future episodes or not.

It is undeniable that hosts, Tarek and Christina gave life to the HGTV since its opening in 2013. Having a career shift from being real estate agents, the two adventurously made a fortune in buying and selling distressed properties, transforming them and getting them ready to the next buyers.

Though the show has been successful in recent years, sources have speculated that producers may cancel future episodes as the hosts have been public about their marriage woes.

As reported by E! News, the show may still air episodes beyond 2016 but a 10-year contract is most unlikely. In fact, producers are now hurrying the filming of its last episodes to 'fulfill contract obligations' before it will finally come to its end.

On Monday this week, the couple issued a joint statement confirming the presence of 'challenges' in their marriage. They also clarified the issue against them six months ago when Tarek was seen holding a gun that caused police action and panic. The statement, however, did not mention any negative events that happened to the couple that day debunking earlier rumors that Tarek wants to commit suicide or to hurt Christina.

Despite the separation, the ex-couple vowed to commit to their obligation and to be 'the best parents' to their kids Taylor and Brayden.

Cheating rumors have been pointed out as the cause of the relationship's breakdown. According to The Wrap, both had affairs with people from their crew with Tarek who is reported to fire their 23-year old nanny, Alyssa Logan so that he can date her. Christina also dated Gary Anderson who worked closely with her and ex-spouse in flipping houses.

As for Flip or Flop's schedule, it was reported that season 7 has four more episodes, with its last episode slated to be viewed on January 19, 2017. Season 8 of the HGTV series will start the week after. There is also a possibility that the show will have four more seasons that will last until 2018.
