Sources from The Guardian report that a California man, Joseph Schwab is in the midst of a legal battle. In 2015 he was charged by the Solano County district attorney with driving under influence. After 18 months currently the man is preparing to attend the trial.

The fact is, this may be the first example that says caffeine can impair a driver's capability. It is truly a great surprise for almost all the people who use caffeine as a stimulant. That means people actually use it for refreshment.

Light roasted beans contain more caffeine

The Study reveals that light roasted beans contain more caffeine than the dark roasted beans. The light roasted consume less heat so they have more caffeine compared to the dark one. But the fact is the difference between light and dark is not so big. Dr. Torres opined that it is better to taste the cold brew coffees or switch to other drinks like tea to get rid of the caffeine problem.

High levels of cortisol can reduce the effect of caffeine

Dr. Torres unveils that high cortisol level in the body is very effective to reduce the caffeine level. Morning is the best time when people wake up and have the peak time to contain the highest level of cortisol in the body. So it is best to drink coffee in the morning or the middle of the day to avoid the excess caffeine in the body.  

Excess consumption of caffeine can affect the metabolism

Caffeine helps an athletic to improve performance as it works to enhance the energy level. Caffeine improves the metabolic level by burning more fat, but excess consumption can be fatal. Dr. Torres cautions that drinking too many cups of coffee can reduce the activity of metabolism which ultimately affects the activeness of the body.

Excess consumption of caffeine can cause irritability and jitteriness

Caffeine increases the mental power and concentration. People can use it as a natural stimulant. But if a person consumes it excessively, then it can be a great cause of irritability and jitteriness.

Dr.Torres also added that overdose of it can upset the stomach and can be the reason of anxiety, panic attack and irregular heartbeat.

It is necessary that people should drink coffee or consume caffeine to keep the body and mind fresh and not to be a victim of DUI.
