Well, back in October 2015, Microsoft launched  the Surface Pro 4, which sports 12.3-inch (2736×1824) Pixel touch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for it's  protection . It was launched along with a new Surface Pen that came with an eraser and could detect 1024 points of pressure.

As per the reports, currently Microsoft is said to be working on a new version of its Surface Pro tablet that's set to come in the first quarter of 2017, quite ahead of it's time. Which certainly seems true as Microsoft is yet to release it's Creators Update.

Here's the big news that Microsoft has recently showcased Windows 10 running on an ARM processor:

Furthermore, many are speculating that the new Surface will no longer use an Intel Kaby Lake chip, instead it will be using Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor .Obviously it's benefits would be longer battery life and potentially the addition of LTE for mobile connectivity. Camera and Bluetooth connectivity is expected to be upgraded, as well. However, reports don't deny the Surface Pro with seventh generation intel core chip. Probably there will be two models, Surface Pro 5 and Surface 5.

In addition, there are few more rumours circulating. One says that the Surface Pen - the stylus bundled with Surface Pro tablets - will be updated so that it contains a rechargeable battery that charges wirelessly upon being attached to the tablet magnetically. The current Surface Pen doesn't possess such an ability.

An older report by Kitguru cites manufacturing sources in China, which suggests that the Surface Pro 5 will come with a 2K screen. However, there will be 4K model for those willing to splash the cash.

Fortunately, the Surface Pro 5 could be the first in the range to get a USB-C port rather than the USB 3.0 port on the Pro 4, which off course can be used for charging as well.

Regarding the price, we are quite unsure, but experience tells us that Microsoft will charge similar price for each version of the Pro 5. The Surface Pro 4 starts at £749 and we don't expect this to change much.
