After the wide speculation of the fourth sequel of the 'Iron Man' movie, 'Iron Man 4',now it seems the movie remains in speculations itself. Robert Downey Jr.'s take on 'Iron Man 4' is not a good news for the fans, who are waiting for the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark for the fourth time.

In a recent interview with Variety, Robert Downey Jr. has shut down the possibility for 'Iron Man 4'. When asked about the updates of 'Iron Man 4', Robert Downey Jr. commented that "No, there's no plan for a fourth 'Iron Man.'" Currently Robert Downey Jr. is busy with the promotion of his movie 'The Judge'.

Marvel Cinematic University is now to decide whether to go on with the movie 'Iron Man 4'. They also have to think whether they should cast Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark or some other actor. When it was enquired to Robert Downey Jr. by Variety, he just laughed it out.

The 'Iron Man' was first released in 2008 and the sequels of the movie has collected together a revenue of $2 million across the globe. The Mirror has reported that, Robert Downey Jr. is happy to portray the role of Tony Stark in the movies of Marvel Cinematic University, but not any more in the solo films of 'Iron Man'.

It is rumored that Robert Downey Jr. will be portraying the role of Sherlock in 'Sherlock Holmes 3' instead of 'Iron Man 4's Tony Stark. If ever 'Iron Man 4' is possible, then it is expected to have the story line from the comic book.

There are many highly anticipated movies lined up in Marvel Cinematic University to be released before 2020. 'Black Panther', 'Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 1' and 'Ant-man and the Wasp' will be released in 2018. In 2019, we can expect the release of the movies 'Captain Marvel' and 'Avengers: Infinity War Part 2'.

So it seems like Marvel Cinematic Studio's have the slot for 'Iron Man 4' only in 2020. And by that time Robert Downey Jr. turns 55, which is also a reason for him to turn out the role of Tony Stark. The role of Tony Stark demands a lot of physical assertion and Robert Downey Jr.'s body may not respond as per the demand of the role.
