The historical-drama TV series Outlander will be going to air its third season on Starz. The entire cast and crew of the television series are now back to work after having a short Christmas break. The new season of the show will focus on the journey of Sam Heughman.

The third season of the show will have a lot of new exciting episodes. In an interview posted on Yahoo TV, Catriona Balfe who is playing the role of Claire in the TV series revealed "Outlander" will be very different upon its return in Season 3. According to her "The exceptional thing about this program is that every new season, everything sort of gets turned on its head, "From the start when we come back this season, I think everybody knows at this point the stories are completely separate. We see a lot of Jamie's story, and what he has gone through in two decades. The viewers will see a bit about what happened in the life of each character they love on the series."

Balfe also stated that, "Of course, there will be a reunion," Balfe continued. "Which I think is really wonderful and it's been taped excellently. It's very exciting, it's like, how do two people come together after not seeing each other for 20 years, after both believing each other have died, and how do you build something real again?"

On the other hand, in a different report posted by The Hollywood Reporter ,the upcoming season of this show is entirely based on the third book of the novel with the same title. The show has thirteen episodes and one of the highlight episodes in this season of "Outlander" is when Catriona Balfe (Claire) traveled back to her life in 1948.

On the upcoming third season, viewers will also know more about "Fegus" he is the adopted son of Jamie and Claire in the previous season of the TV series.
