'Gotham City Sirens' will have Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman, directed by David Ayer, and Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn. With that in mind, the question lies on who will play as her compatriots? Or sisters-in-arms if you will, especially Catwoman? A few days back we already had our opinion on Poison Ivy. Now, we'll move on to see which actress perfectly suited the role of feline-themed femme fatale that is Catwoman in DCEU's 'Gotham City Sirens'.

The latest actress to play Selina Kyle in the big screen is Anne Hathaway in 2012's 'The Dark Knight Rises'. A part that she pulled off greatly due to the charm and lightness she brought to the screen in a very gloomy themed feature film. There are some fans who demands Hathaway's return to the DCEU, those demands were justified though by a statement from the actress herself "I loved that character and I had such a blast playing her ... I love the DC Universe and it would be fun to take a trip back.". It does depend much on the theme and story of the whole DCEU though. While the whole DCEU current installments have this gloomy, violent, and fast-paced action flicks, if Hathaway's Catwoman can bring that and her character fits the universe completely, it's only a matter of time before David Ayer cast her again.

But there are other actresses who may fit the role and the DCEU's grand theme. According to screenrant's fancast, there are 15 possible actresses that could take up the mantle of the famous cat-burglar, such as ; Ruby Rose, Olivia Wilde, Tuppence Middleton, Sienna Miller, Emily Blunt, Gemma Arterton, Olga Kurylenko, Rachel Weisz, Charlize Theron, Diane Kruger, Katie McGrath, Eva Green, Rooney Mara, Thandie Newton and Rebecca Ferguson. One of the main traits of Catwoman's character is her athleticism, which compliments her fighting skill and charm.

Among those actresses, Ruby Rose, Sienna Miller, Olga Kurylenko and Charlize Theron is the ones who have a pedigree in action movies but lack the on-screen charm of a manipulative thief. On the other hand, there's one name in that pile that had experience in action movie and played a manipulative female character; Eva Green. Her character in 'Casino Royale' opposite of Daniel Craig's 'James Bond' is quite similar to Catwoman's, put her in a black skin-tight suit with cat ears, voila! Catwoman.

The studio and David Ayer is yet to confirm anymore updates on the development of 'Gotham City Sirens'. But this movie could be a bold move to add on DCEU's film franchise. This will be the second DC movie that makes the villains as the protagonists after 2016's 'Suicide Squad'.
