Practicing yoga regularly can release hormones in the body that slow down the process of aging. Keep young looking and feeling by choosing suitable yoga poses. Studies have proved that yoga is one of the greatest ways to slow down the clock.

Muscle mass is the most important thing that maintains your young look but every ten years 15% of it is lost if you are not staying active through ample physical activity, says Vonda Wright, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and the author of Fitness After 40.

But yoga has an optimum solution for that. Practicing yoga or any other strength exercise 4 to 5 times a week can slow down the process of muscle mass loss to an extent that even at 60 you can maintain muscle mass of a 20-year-old, reports Press.

With age comes sag - an issue that bothers everyone regardless of gender! But again yoga comes with a solution when the body starts sagging. Janiene Luke, MD, associate professor of dermatology at Loma Linda University in California, says that human skin is a drape for the musculature beneath.

Yoga addresses that musculature and when they are toned the skin looks younger and firmer. Yoga for keeping young regarding the skin and muscles is the best option.

A few minutes of yoga a day can have a clear impact on your body, says Kristin McGee, Health's contributing yoga and wellness editor and a yoga instructor in New York City. Getting back in shape with your job after holidays through yoga can help you start a healthy year ahead, according to Health.

Yoga helps three things in aging people and they are strength, balance and flexibility. Also, the overall body pains, muscle discomfort and joint aches are best eased with yoga. Everyone with little time at hand during any hour of the day must pick a few poses of yoga and practice.
