No 'HTC 11' For 2017; But HTC Will Showcase 6 To 7 Smartphones In This Year, HTC U Play & HTC U Ultra Already Released

HTC is one of the biggest smartphone brands in the world. The brand has some aesthetic and out-of-the-box designed smartphones with decent configuration. Sources claim that the much speculated HTC 11 which was to release this year, will not make it. However, there are few more devices that will be showcased in 2017.

As cited in a report by Phone Arena, HTC will showcase six to seven new smartphones in 2017. Further, HTC stated that it will launch all premium products under "U" moniker henceforth. Recently, HTC launched U-Play and U Ultra ad both the devices are clad with glass and aluminum body. Out of the seven devices slated to launch this year, two have already made it to the public which means more three smartphones are slated to launch later this year.

HTC U-Play is slated to go on sale in February 2017. The device comes with 5.5" Full-HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is backed by a 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB Internal Storage variants. The rear snapper is a 16-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.1. HTC U-Play gets its power from Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. The device is also known as HTC Alpine. HTC U-Play (2017) specs by GSMArena.

HTC U-Ultra will showcase for sales in March 2017. The device has a massive 5.7" 1440x2560 pixel resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 or Sapphire Crystal Glass based on variants. The device comes with 4GB RAM coupled with 64/128GB of ROM. The rear camera is 12-megapixel snapper with an aperture of f/1.8 for clear pictures. The device is backed by one of the most powerful SoC i.e. Quad-core Snapdragon 821 and Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone comes with a price tag of $750. Android Police states that this year, Google and Apple will unveil their most anticipated smartphones and if HTC releases its lineup at the same time, Google and Apple will take all the limelight leaving HTC under a shadow. It is not even feasible that HTC could launch its lineup if it has Google Pixel under its making.
