MMA fighter Conor McGregor and iconic boxer Floyd Mayweather made it to the headlines after both fighters have been challenging one another. As the heated argument escalates, UFC president Dana White stepped in and offered both fighters $50 million for their fight to happen.

UFC president Dana White decided to join in with the heated war of words between UFC fighter Conor McGregor and the boxer Floyd Mayweather. Dana White offered $5o million for both fighters to meet inside the ring or the octagon as reported by TMZ Sports. To his dismay, Floyd Mayweather turned down the offer knowing that he's worth more than White's initial offer.

As for the Irish Man, on the other hand, Conor McFregor finally got his boxing license in California. ESPN mentioned that Conor McGregor was able to obtain his license to professionally box on the 11th of January, 2017.

In regards to his newly received license, Floyd Mayweather's camp decided to dish out their two cents on the issue. It was mentioned that despite McGregor's drive to fight the boxer, he would not be able to do so because he's tied with YFC, thus his bosses won't allow him to do so as he would transition from MMA to boxing.

"It's all a game. It's all a calculated effort to gain more fans," Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotion told ESPN in a phone interview. "He got a boxing license. Congratulations to him. Conor McGregor can say anything he wants to, but he has a boss and his name is [UFC president] Dana White. He is under contract to the UFC, and if he wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, he can't because his bosses wouldn't allow that to happen."

It seems like the McGregor VS Mayweather fight is not likely to happen due to their different fighting backgrounds. As a fight fan, will you be interested in watching the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather? Do let us know your thoughts through the comment section below.
