The beermaker Sierra Brewery Co. has been recalling a few of its bottled beer from 36 states across the US. The decision was taken after the company found some flaws in the glass bottles that might pose serious injury to the consumers.  On Sunday, Jan 22, the company announced that few of its beer bottles had some defects that might cause a small piece of glass to break from the top and fall inside the bottle.  This might cause damage to the consumers due to which the company had decided to recall the bottles.

According to Huffington Post, the recall is expected to affect the beer bottles manufactured at one of the company's breweries in North Carolina from Dec 5, 2016 to Jan 17, 2017. As per Sierra Nevada, only one bottle per 10,000 manufactured beer bottles contained the flaw. But the company has decided to recall to ensure safety of all its consumers across the states. However, the company has not yet received any complaints regarding the flawed beer bottles. So, that's definitely a good news.

Now, as per Washington Post, the recall is likely to affect some of the famous varieties of Sierra Niveda beer such as Sidecar Orange Pale Ale, Camp Golden IPA, Tropical Torpedo, Pale Ale, Hop Hunter, Nooner, Torpedo Extra IPA and Otra Vez. According to the company, all these beer bottles are likely to be purchased by consumers belonging to South and East Coast as well as Midwest. The consumers who have bought the beers have been advised not to consume it and can even ask for a refund.

But what if someone had already bought it and drank it? Well, the beer giant, Sierra Nevada mentioned that such a case in unlikely to happen as consumers might notice a few things before drinking the beer. First, they might notice beer leaking from bottle top. If the bottle was opened, consumers might also find a small piece of the top broken. Also, when consumed the beer might have  a flat taste due to lack of carbonation.
