Season 21 of "The Bachelor" has faced numerous controversies even before it started airing. Now, a new report claims that Nick Viall and the producers are pushing for Corinne Olympios to join the final four ladies all for the sake of ratings. ABC has yet to comment on the speculations.

Nick Defends Corinne

In his recent blog post for PEOPLE, Nick Viall defended contestant Corinne Olympios against critics. For "The Bachelor" 2017 lead, Corinne is something who is "full of surprises." Apparently, Nick is impressed with the way Corinne has been showing off her aggressive side. The reality star went on to refer to the contestant as "bold, sexy and unique."

Fans and critics alike have been pointing out that Corinne is the villain in "The Bachelor" 2017. However, Nick Viall said in his defense for Corinne that he just wanted to make sure Corinne was somehow comfortable although he also had to ensure that he wasn't carried away. Nick's comment was made in reference to the whipped cream incident.

Nick Defends Himself

Before defending the alleged season villain, Nick Viall sat down with Glamour and also took time to explain his actions in "The Bachelor" 2017. Some fans have remarked that Jen Saviano's former flame didn't seem to care if Corinne was being too aggressive to the point of rubbing the other contestants in a wrong way. Nick told the outlet that he simply had to "set the tone" and make sure he didn't appear as if he was criticizing contestants who wanted to do what they wanted to do.

Is Corinne Staying in "The Bachelor" for a Purpose?

A new report suggests that Nick Viall and the producers of "The Bachelor" 2017 may be planning to keep Corinne Olympios in the cast for the final four. Obviously, Corinne is one of the least liked women in this season. However, she is also one of the reasons why some viewers want to watch season 21.

The report goes on to imply that Nick is attracted to Corinne, based on his reactions to the contestant's aggressiveness. On the other hand, there is also the possibility that the producers want "The Bachelor" 2017 to be one of the biggest installments in the series. The love and hate that Corinne is receiving could play well into this plan.
