A latest patent application hints that Motorola l might include an iris scanner in its upcoming model. As per the latest tech buzz, Moto Z (2017) that was spotted at the Geekbench might be the lucky handset to include this feature. The device is expected to include Snapdragon 835 chip  along with a 4GB RAM and an Android 7.1.1 within it.

As per Digital Trends, the latest patent filed by the company, the iris scanner is likely to include a narrow angle lens to focus on the user's eyes. Now that's what smart technology is all about, right? The iris scanner works in a similar way like the fingerprint scanner. However, one of its special features includes its ability to use user's iris to unlock the device,  opens apps as well as verify identification. Some of the sketches in the released patent showed that Moto Z (2017) is likely to include a front facing fingerprint panel.

According to Phone Arena, the next generation of Motorola devices is also expected to keep up with the Moto Mods accessories. Well, this is something the company has made clear and that it has some big plans  for it in this year. But again, not much is known about the upcoming Moto device apart from the fact that it is expected to follow the design pattern of the other devices. Another interesting thing known about the device is the return of the large camera bump. Well, there has been no confirmation yet, it is just an assumption several tech geeks are making.

The company has already launched Indiegogo campaign to collect ideas for the upcoming mods and even mentioned that about 40 percent of Moto Z users own mods. However, the company isn't too keen to give full attention to the flagship device and its mods only. As per latest news, the company is planning to launch several flagship devices in the upcoming MWC 2017 scheduled for next month.
