Recent reports say that 25% of adults and 10% of youth in the US are consuming tobacco. The research result published in PATH, (Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health), initiated in 2011 in association with the NIHNIDA (National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Drug Abuse) and the U.S.

The study designed to find out the consumption of tobacco and health disorders. The report also points out that the excess consumption of tobacco leads the country to a personal and national economic imbalance.

The report also highlights to learn more about tobacco usage and impact among users, Andrew Hyland the lead research of PATH says. The present report released on the basis of the study conducted from September 2013 to December 2014.

During the study, 13,651 youths between ages 12-17 and 32,320 adults cooperated with the research. They were the users of 12 types of tobacco products, which include pipe tobacco, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, snus, cigarettes, and hookah.

The researchers noticed that 27.6% of adults and 8.9% of youth in America are presently consuming tobacco, Science Daily reports. The participants of the survey agreed that they are using various types of tobacco products like electronic and nonelectronic.

"These findings will serve as the baseline for comparison to future waves of PATH Study data in our effort to realize changes in use of tobacco products over time, including switching among types of products, quitting tobacco, and trajectories of use of multiple products," says Karin Kasza, senior researcher says, Roswell Park  reports.

The study gives much priority to the tobacco use and its impact rather than tobacco cigarette consumption. Adults and youths are largely consuming tobacco and the need of finding the impact is very urgent.

People who use smokeless tobacco products may affect with cancer due to the higher volume of nicotine presence in the product. The report warns whole public across the globe addicted with tobacco consumption and likely to be addicted.
