Before 2016 ended, former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello had officially left the girl group. Some source had claimed that Cabello wished to pursue her career as a solo artist as the New Year starts.

However, her departure from the girl group had caused some negative comments from her former band mates. Fifth Harmony members had claimed that Cabello has not informed her decision to the group personally.

Rather, she just sent a representative to notify them about the matter. In contrast to that, Camila had denied the issue saying that the girls surely know about her decision even before she left and she was not expecting to end her relationship from the group this way. But still, she wishes well for them individually and as a group.

From her dramatic exit from the "All in My Head" singers, Camila had her very first live appearance as a solo artist on Monday (Jan.30) on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She had performed the hit single "Bad Things" with the rapper Machine Gun Kelly as reported by E News. According to a source, the hit song was already released in Oct. 2016 when Camila was still a part of Fifth Harmony. Billboard had reported that the song had already reached its peak as no. 4 this week on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, this is also the first time the "Bad Things" singers had reached top 5 as a solo artist.

As for the Fifth Harmony, the girls had continued their stardom as a foursome for the first time.  The group took the staged earlier this year in 2017 People's Choice Awards and had performed their popular song, "Work from Home" without Camila's verse. In addition, the girl group had accepted the award for Favorite Group after their performance.
