Despite rumors, regarding Netflix’s "House of Cards" Season 5 cancellation, the series has already literally placed its cards on the table for a release date. The air date for the series was released on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration day, though.

With that said, the “House of Cards” Season 5 trailer somehow reveals some of what the fans could expect on the upcoming season. In the beginning of the teaser, the Pledge of Allegiance was chanted by children. Then an upside down flag was shown in the Washington’s Capitol Building. Thus, the dark "We make the terror" vibes are beginning to feel real in the upcoming season.

According to Mic, the upside down U.S flag was probably featured to represent Frank Underwood’s (Kevin Spacey) corrupt administration. What’s more is that Express noted that “House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon left the series to senior writers Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese, who will act as showrunners for season 5.

Fans could expect more this upcoming season since it was also reported that some new characters would play “major, mystery” roles. Among those new characters to be introduced in the “House of Cards” season 5 are Patricia Clarkson and “The Amazing Spiderman” actor, Campbell Scott.

Nonetheless, Willimon mentioned on his interview with Deadline that fans would see “radical changes” in the upcoming “House of Cards” season. More so, Remy Danton, Frank’s former chief of staff played by Mahershala Ali cleared that he will not be returning to the show.

Actors to reprise their role once again in the upcoming “House of Cards” Season 5 episode include Neve Campbell (LeAnn Harvey), Joel Kinnaman (Will Conway), Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper), Jayne Atkinson (Catherine Durant) and Elizabeth Marvel (Heather Dunbar.)

As expected “House of Cards” fanatics would see Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright back with their roles as Frank Underwood and First Lady Claire Underwood. The release date for the Netflix series’ season 5 is as stated on the trailer, May 30, 2017.
