'The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind' Release Date: Expansion Confirmed To Arrive In June

Video game developer ZeniMax Online Studios and publisher, Bethesda, has just announced that it will be releasing a new expansion for "The Elder Scrolls Online". The 'Morrowind' expansion is the largest update that the developer has introduced to the game since it was first released on April 4, 2014.

During a livestream event, ZeniMax and Bethesda announced "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind". The upcoming expansion will allow players to further explore the region of Morrowind. Before the update, players are only able to explore small parts of the large province. With the recent expansion, players will be able to explore Vvardenfell, an island locked inside the crescent-shaped Morrowind.

Before the livestream event, several leaks and speculations about the recently announced "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" have already found its way online. In a way, the announcement simply confirmed what the avid fans of the game already knew.

The new expansion will add 30 hours of new story content to the already extensive storyline of the game. Aside from new story content, the Morrowind expansion of "The Elder Scrolls Online" will also introduce a three-team PVP mode to the game.

A new player class will also be introduced with the expansion. The Warden is accompanied by a bear in the game and is able to use earth based magic when fighting opponents. Owners of the original "The Elder Scrolls Online" can purchase Morrowind for $39.99 while new players can get the original game content plus the expansion for $59.99.

A special collector's edition will also be launched for the expansion. The special collector's edition may come in the form of physical or digital copies. The digital copies of the video game's special collector edition with the Morrowind expansion is priced at $79.99 while the physical copies will cost $99.99. "The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind" will be released on June 6.
