Shonda Rhimes does it again. As she is known for cutting cast members and other sad stuff, it’s “Grey’s Anatomy” turn to leave some fans drastic enough because Jerrika Hinton is leaving the series. This would be quite drastic indeed if a season 14 wouldn’t have a Dr. Edwards.

Speaking about "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14, it is quite possible as ABC Boss Channing Dungey spoke with Deadline. The boss stated that he doesn’t want to think about an “endgame” for the medical series. He then concluded that “As long as the fans remain engaged, ratings are good and Shonda creatively is excited about it, let’s keep going.”

On the other hand, with Dungey’s interview with Entertainment Weekly, he mentioned that he would be happy to take on more seasons if Shonda and the “Grey’s Anatomy” gang plans to take on more as well. Dungey then stated that they’ve been looking for fan’s feedback. He then stated that “people are more interested than ever in the relationship between Meredith and Alex [Justin Chambers].” Yet, no confirmations have been made.

Meanwhile, Dr. Stephanie Edwards who had been a series regular since 2012 is said to already leave Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. More so, is that Edwards who is played by Jerrika Hinton, was almost had been cut from "Grey's Anatomy" last fall per TV Line.

The discussion went on about her (almost) two roles that she would have lesser scenes in “Grey’s Anatomy.” Fortunately, since Rhimes’ planned comedy pilot, “Toast” had been not approved by the ABC management, Edwards took “Grey’s Anatomy” full time.

The reason for the leave is that she landed a role in Alan Ball’s new HBO drama series. TV Fanatic reported that the series would be “Six Feet Under” starred by Holly Hunter. Hinton would play an American-born Somalian refugee due to her mother’s death and father’s deportation.

She would then be one of the three adopted children by Hunter’s lawyers which she would then later struggle with her cultural identity. Yet amid the impactful leave of Hinton for fans, it is still hoped that she would return to “Grey’s Anatomy” even As a guest.
