Google has launched yet another Beta version of Android iOS Nougat 7.1.2 Beta Version. The new Android Beta version was released last week was applicable only select Google devices and only the lucky ones get it.

Android 7.1.2 Beta version is currently released for Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, and Nexus player for this time. However, Google has promised 7.1.2 Beta version of Nexus 6, but at a later date. As per Android Authority, the beta version is quite a heavy size of 827.9MB. Interestingly the downloadable size varies with each device. The update doesn't contain any new features. The update primarily focuses on system refinements and bug fixes of the previous version Android 7.1.1.

As usual, this Android 7.1.2 Beta Version is available exclusively for Google devices and at this time the support is not specified for other brands like Samsung, OnePlus or LG. Google intends to roll out this new version ASAP.

According to PC Advisor, to download Android Beta program, the developer or user has to visit the website g.co/androidbeta, and sign up with the Google account to check for the eligible Pixel and Nexus devices. Then agree for the "Terms & Conditions" to download the Beta version. Upon installation, the update will replace the software after 24 hours.

Google said the update is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, including a number of optimizations and bug fixes, along with carriers and user enhancements that benefit both. In December last year, Google launched Android 7.1.1 Beta version for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Pixel C and this version were later extended to other brands in January 2017.

Android 7 Nougat version offered new features like multi-window support, direct reply to notifications and many more. Google has faced acute criticism for releasing software updates lately compared to its arch-rival Apple. Therefore, Google wants to make up for the lag in software updates with better user interface.
