It has been days since the upcoming "Batman" movie has been left without a director after Ben Affleck announced he can't act and direct the project at the same time.

After the announcement, fans have voiced their opinion and stated Zack Sznyder could make a pretty neat batman film. Other directors are also being mentioned for the position.
According to Forbes, Ben Affleck stated that he has decided not to direct the next standalone "Batman" film last week. He made it pretty clear in the days prior to this decision that being the film's director and being "Batman" at the same time is already too much for him. He indicated he can't very well do the film justice if he has his hands full with both tasks. He also said he wants to collaborate with the new person who would take on the role of director.

The fans, however, think that even the mixed reviews "Batman Vs Superman" received, Zack Snyder had made a pretty cool, mean and short batman film inside it. Even in the Honest trailer of the film, we can hear Jon Bailey admitting that "Batman" is by far the best part of the movie.

Recently a petition was created by DC fans to make Zack Snyder the Director of "The Batman". ET reports that fans can make their voice heard by sigining the petition for Warner Bros to consider.

However. Zack Snyder is at the moment busy with the works of the upcoming Justice League film. The team decision is still pending, But one thing is certain, Ben Affleck will have involvement in the pre production works.

According to Den of Geek, the other Directors to be considered for directing "The Batman" are Matt Reeves (Let Me In and Cloverfield fame), Matt Ross (Captain Fantastic fame), Gavin O'Connor (The Accountant fame) and George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road).

This is a delay that could push "The Batman" movie's release from the year 2018 further. Here, watch the Comic Con Footage of justice League that released last year for some "Batman" until he returns.
