Scientology Shows Unique Funeral Services For Tom Cruise’s Mother Mary Lee

Tom Cruise's mother, Mary Lee South died at the age of 80 during her sleep. For the past years, she was struggling with ill health.

Tom Cruise and his mother Mary Lee were sharing a unique bond with each other. The actor always considered his mother as an inspiration for his life and acting.

The People reported that Mary Lee was given her service and honored in a memorial at her local Church of Scientology. Tom Cruise along with his three sisters, Lee Ann DeVette, Cass Mapother, and Marian Henry attended the service.

Mary Lee was a special education teacher when she got married to Tom Cruise's dad, Thomas Cruise Mapother III, who was an electrical engineer by profession. But the marriage didn't last long and they separated in the year 1974. In 1978, Mary again got married to Jack South.

Mary Lee in an interview with Rolling Stone in the year 1986 has said that she only made Tom Cruise to take acting as a career. Also, she told that she and her husband Mr. South believed acting as a god-given talent.

Earlier in 2015, a rumor of Mary Lee's death was spread by a tabloid. But later she was seen appearing at functions along with is son Tom Cruise.

The Daily Mail reported that, in 2016, Mary Lee was visible very lean and supporting herself with a walker and some oxygen tubes in Clearwater, Florida. It took a while for her to appear publically after her public appearance in 2010.

Tom Cruise's late mother, Mary Lee had a unique funeral service. As per the beliefs of Scientologists, the soul is immortal. And all the rituals are done focused on the future. All the family members and friends get a chance to say goodbye to the parted member.
