With the recent controversy on Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s explosion, tech enthusiasts have been waiting for a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release. While some are already scared, specs have been speculated to brush off doubts of consumers. Along with the expected Samsung S8, expectations begin to be heightened as well for the rise of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

According to Mic, Samsung mobile chief D.J. Koh stated that he would bring a new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with a better, safer and very innovative model of it. Hence, with Samsung Galaxy S8 at hand, both Samsung flagship devices would battle out who would prevail with consumer’s choice.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would only come in one model with a 5.7-inch display like that of the Note 7 while its Note 8 Plus would sport a 6.2-inch model as reported. That is if they would follow the Note 7 pattern. As rumors point that the S8 would have a built-in stylus, the Note 8 is expected to have as well. Well, both of the powerhouse devices is said to run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chip.

IB Times also mentioned that the leaked image of Samsung S8 has a rear fingerprint scanner with no physical home button. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is then speculated to have no physical home button as well per hinted in Samsung’s Unpacked event video on “new smartphones.”

Of course, the present iris scanner on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 would be featured in the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 as well. It was then mentioned that the same technology would be used. Samsung’s S8 is said to have 6GB of RAM 256 GB of ROM. Yet no specs on memory had been reported on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Regarding its release date, Wired noted Samsung’s Unpacked Video shown at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The video had shown Unbox Your Phone theme along with an upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event coming March this year in New York. Thus speculations pointed that it would be possible that the S8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be launched there yet would be released in April 2017.
