Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Specs, Release Date: Powerhouse Tablet With Updated Windows 10, Wireless Rechargeable Surface Pen, Surface Dial & More!

Microsoft had been known for its Surface tablets that function as a 2 in 1 devices. Yet, another successor after the Surface Pro 4 is announced, the Surface Pro 5. With new features speculated all over the net, tech enthusiasts can’t wait to see the unveiling of Microsoft’s spectacular device.

According to Market Exclusive, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would sport a 12.3-inch screen along with a sleek aluminum body. It was also mentioned that the Pro 5 would function like the Pro 4 as a 2 in 1 device. The Pro 5 was also speculated to have 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of ROM.

Furthermore, new features that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to showcase was reported by PC Advisor. It was then mentioned that the Pro 5 would have a Surface pen. The previous Surface pen is then said to run on alkaline AAAA battery, so there would be no need to charge it. However, the Pro 5 is mentioned to have a tweaked Surface pen that would be rechargeable when attached magnetically to the tablet.

Other features were also reported that the Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 would have 2K display variants and 4K for those with a high budget. With Surface Pro 4 sporting a USB 3.0 port, the Pro 5 is then said to be the first to integrate a USB-C port. A Surface Dial for the Surface Pro 5 which is a shortcut feature for apps was speculated as well.

Regarding what’s under the hood, the Surface Pro 5 is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 635. In which instead of using the Intel Kaby Lake processors, the Pro 5’s battery life would be more extended since they already tested the ARM processor as reported.

It was then reported that amid no announcements about Microsoft’s Surface Pro 5 at the MWC 2017, the tablet could be announced along with the Windows 10 Creators Update. In which would happen in New York this April. Other release date speculations pointed out that since the Pro 4 was released Oct. 2015, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 5 would be released October this year.
