According to reports, Freya (Riley Voelkel) could have had chances to find true love earlier in the series but it never happened for real. She was known to be very focused only on her family. According to the series' executive producer Michael Narducci, the showrunner and writers have decided to give her something more than just a family to love in "The Originals" season 4. He then explained that the romantic storyline for Freya in the upcoming season will open a new side of her emotional struggle which opens a whole new dimension to the character.

Michael Narducci in his statement in TV Line, "They have one of the most dynamic journeys that we're going to have dramatized this season". He assured that fans will see what Hayley is willing to do to get the final pieces of the puzzle to get Elijah and his siblings back. Likewise, Hayley and Elijah (Phoebe Tonkin and Daniel Gillies) on the other hand must face challenges in their relationship.

Fans will get to see more of the 7-year-old girl named Hope (Summer Fontana) and how she deals with life as a hybrid. Also, in one of the exciting scene, Hope uncovers her true character that she shares her mother's street smarts and may or may not also display some of her father's temper and willingness to do whatever it takes to protect her family. It appears that she will play a very important role in keeping the Mikaelsons intact in "The Originals" season 4.

This season will be a very good one. "The Originals" season 4 premieres on 17th of March 2017.
