According to Android Hacks, Google always revealed and unveiled its branded smartphones around October. This began with its Nexus series and was sustained until last year's Pixel. Therefore, the Pixel 2 might continue that trend and have its official release in October 2017.

"There is an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it," Rick Osterloh, Google Hardware Department Head said during his interview with Android Pit.

Meanwhile, Google Nexus 7 2017 was speculated to arrive in the latter half of the year. Furthermore, the device might not even run Android anymore.
