The year 2014 was marked as a year of "The Fappening" when the grim side of the internet came to the fore with leaked online private pictures of celebrities doing their round on the web. Celebrities like the Gabrielle Union and Jennifer Lawrence were targeted then. This year, the hackers have returned again targeting Emma Watson as their first victim, followed by Amanda Seyfried and Mischa Barton!

The fappening is a hacking process that steals private photographs of celebrities and puts them up on the net. Celebrities like Emma Watson, who has actively criticized the invasion of privacy and speaks eloquently about women rights are the exact kind of stars that the fappening targets. The perpetrators last time were caught and punished for their actions. But no lesson seems to have been learned from the case with much more mushrooming to carry out the heinous act, reported The Sun.

According to Hollywood Life, fappening is back again. Rebranding itself as 'Fappening 2.0'. Emma Watson has been declared as the first victim. Since then, the rumor mills went into an overtime with many claiming nude pictures of the star has been leaked online. Later it was revealed that the pictures that were circulated were not nude photos but images from clothes fitting session she has had with a stylist. Watson has taken legal action for the same.

Before the fappening 2.0, Emma Watson has received anonymous threats of hacks. Watson then claiming such photos do not exist let it pass. With Emma Watson, names of other celebrities like Amanda Seyfried and Mischa Barton is also doing the round. The shameful act comes from an encrypted network known as Dark Web where users can post pictures without revealing their names. These anonymous networks highlight the growing menace of the cyberspace.

We sincerely hope that the culprits will be punished soon, and these unfortunate celebrities will stay strong and fight for their rights!
