iPad Mini 5 Release Date, Specs, News and Update: Apple Tablet Might Come Out in March

There is no doubt that iPad Mini has been a favorite of tablet users for a long time. The latest inclusion is the iPad Mini 5. This bag friendly small tablet received its upgrade in September 2015. However, tech experts are worried if it would be brought within the iPad Pro fold in 2017.

The 7.9-inch tablet was assumed to be launched in 2016. However, it didn't launch as expected and so it is expected to hit the market in March 2017. The tech geeks expected the iPad Mini 5 to be launched during the Spring Event, i.e on 28th March 2017. This would be a day before the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on March 30, 2017.

As of now, according to The Mirror, it is getting too late to hold the event since the invites haven't been sent out yet. Interestingly, Apple might hold a special iPad Mini 5 launch in its Apple Park HQ. The event is scheduled for April 4, 2017.

According to latest reports, the iPad Mini 5 is set to launch across the UK on March 20 -21, 2017. However, this is a rumor and there has been no confirmation from Apple. The tablet is expected to come in an all aluminum built. In fact, the 7000 series aluminum chassis allows iPad to be thinner PC Advisor reported.

Coming to the appearance of iPad Mini 5, this would be similar to iPad Mini 4. It would also have a 7.9-inch retina display. It would also be 5 mm in thickness and would even feature a smaller battery that would fit into the 5 mm frame.

The iPad Mini 5 would also feature M9 and A9 motion coprocessors. The device would also have iOS 10 preinstalled in it. Along with this, another rumor suggests, Apple would introduce a Rose Gold color option in this model. Some of the other features include 3D Touch, Smart Connector, iTouch ID fingerprint scanner, fast charging port.
