Retail giant Walmart announced on Wednesday the arrival of "New Black Friday" deals that will run for five straight days starting Friday, Nov. 21 at 8 a.m. leading up to the biggest online shopping event of the year, Black Friday.

Walmart, Target, and Best Buy have been offering sweet deals and huge discounts on items and hot gadgets for an entire week to get a headstart on sales this holiday shopping season.

Walmart is planning a turnaround after lowering its sales forecast this year, and what best way could they do that than the busiest shopping season of the year, the holidays.

"Black Friday is no longer about waking up at the crack of dawn to stand in long lines and hope for the best. At Walmart, it has become a family shopping tradition where everyone shops at some point throughout the weekend," Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S., said in a statement released by the company.

"This year, we're blowing it out with five days of deals in store and online. We'll have crazy low prices on the gifts our customers want," he added.

The world's largest retailer said that its online deals will commence just after midnight on Thanksgiving Day, and will include huge discounts on 3,700 more items including gadgets like TV sets and Apple iPhones, according to International Business Times.

Meanwhile, Walmart will start offering its Black Friday deals in its physical stores on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m and will be activated on Friday morning, according to PC Magazine.

Part of the early Black Friday Deals include a Samsung 58-inch Smart LED HDTV, an iPad Air 2 16 GB, WiFi, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s with a two year service agreement with AT$T, Verizon and Sprint.

The company will cut the price of iPad Minis and 65-inch TVs between 6.pm and 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. And after 8 p.m., other electronic products will also be discounted, and another sale will also start as early as 6 a.m on Black Friday, Nov. 28.

A Toshiba touchscreen laptop and 55-inch Samsung Ultra HD Curved Smart TV will go online at 12:01 a.m. on Thanksgiving in its online store.

On Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, stores will feature sales on bed sheets and cookware, Disney products and PlayStation 4. At 8 p.m., Walmart will have electronics on sale, such as cameras, tablets, and Fitbit.

On Black Friday, Nov.28 as early as 6 a.m. to noon, shoppers can get 30 percent discount from different items including Fisher-Price toys,Christmas lights, CDs, and select Samsung TVs.

Even before Thanksgiving or Black Friday comes, the retail giant is already competing with other retailers, including online retailers.

Forbes reports that Walmart stores are now price-matching items sold in Amazon.com causing competition to intensify as the biggest online shopping event in America nears.

"We scoured all the ads across all the competitors and all the categories that we participate in and we said we will match or beat a select number of those items," said Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S.
