"Miss Congeniality" actress Sandra Bullock is reportedly devastated after hearing from the news that her father, John Wilson Bullock, has fallen ill.

Jess, John's brother, said that the actress' father is "not a well man," according to a report made by Radar Online.  He added that John's "doing great until about three months ago."

John, 90, suffered from various physical conditions due to a farm accident at his Virginia home. He fell off a tractor and was crushed by the vehicle, resulting in multiple broken bones in his legs and vertebrae. The freak accident nearly cut off his arm as well.

Though the accident happened long ago when Sandra was still a child, it surely left her father with serious repercussions. In Touch Weekly reported that since the incident, John was not able to properly walk or use his body to how it was.

"That injury has haunted him all these decades, and is still causing him problems," an unnamed source told Radar. Sandra's father could rarely go outside of his Birmingham, Alabama home.

A few years ago, Sandra surprised her dad with a Father's Day dinner to one of his favorite restaurants, the Bright Star located in Bessemer, Alabama.

According to Bright Star co-owner Jimmy Koikos, Sandra "flew in and wanted to take her daddy to his favorite restaurant." Some of the Bullocks' family and friends, including Jimmy and his brother, Nicky Koikos, joined the celebration, AL.com has learned.

"She wanted a sample of all of the desserts, so we got her a bunch of desserts," Koikos added.

John frequently dined at the Bright Star and had become friends with Jimmy.

"He's like a guy next door," Koikos said of Sandra Bullock's father. "I've never heard him one time say, 'I'm Sandra Bullock's daddy' -- never."

Since losing her mother to cancer, John is the only parent that Sandra has left.

"It was very hard for her when she lost her mom," an unnamed insider told Radar. "Now she's really dreading losing her dad."

Sandra's late mother, Helga Mathilde Meyer was a German opera singer, according to the Project Gutenberg Self-Publishing Press. Meyer died of colon cancer at the age of 58 in Arlington, Virginia in 2000.

In other news about the actress, a new trailer for her upcoming movie, "Minions," has been released. The Academy Award-winner voices Scarlet Overkill, who is considered to be "the greatest supervillain of all time" in the animated film, reports E! Online.
