“The X Factor” judge has sparked controversy and concern lately, after she was seen looking too thin for the public’s liking, making speculations of an eating disorder and troubles in paradise spread like wildfire. However, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is shrugging off the comments, stating she can take whatever the media throws at her, as she has been taking them with a big smile for the past 13 years.

Besides being a judge on the “The X Factor”, Cheryl has been promoted as executive of the show, which makes the star busier than ever, NOW Magazine adds. In a The Huffington Post UK interview, she even admitted to working 12 to 14 hours in a day and claims she has no time to exercise, not that she needs it. She also informs critics that she is not anorexic and people should really stop being quick to judge.

The former “Girls Aloud” girl band member says what really worries her is how this body shaming issue will affect the younger generation, Yahoo! Celebrity UK writes. What more, the singer is concerned that some of these writers are women, clearly showing that there is no sisterhood when it comes to body image matters. She believes something has to be done to shed light on this outrageous concern and that the government should at least take a part in putting an end to it.

However, it looks like the star is really just putting on a brave facade, as The Sun reports that her weight loss is definitely due to a family matter. The problem has been constantly in her mind, affecting her weight. One source of the site reveals that Cheryl is very upset over the matter and has been dealing with stress by focusing all her energy in her work. Apparently, she has also chosen not to address the situation publicly and is keeping her silence to help her move forward.

The site has also added that another contributing factor to the star’s dramatic weight loss is the passing of her father-in-law, husband Jean-Bernard’s father last summer. Cheryl slammed critics and haters on her Instagram last week, saying it’s about time people mind their own business, especially when it comes to their weight because it unnecessary and judgmental. The star believes it needs to stop because it is highlighting body insecurities, which never helps anybody.

Cheryl shares that although it is nice to know that people are concerned about her health and well-being, she wants everybody to know that there is no cause for concern. She is well and above all, very happy with what’s happening in her work and career.
