'Empire' fans who are anxious to find out what happened to Hakeem Lyon after episode 5's cliffhanger ending will have to wait a lot longer. Episode 6 of this American drama has been put on hold until the World Series is over.

The popular television series has not been moved from its regular timeslot of 9 p.m. EST, coinciding with the World Series games between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets, says International Business Times. Fox has indicated on their website that the next episode is on Nov. 4.

However, this schedule still depends if one of the teams cinches the championship by Game 6. If the World Series reaches Game 7, 'Empire's' episode 6 may be bumped off to the week after that, or Nov. 11, International Business Times theorized.

Last week, Fox posted this synopsis for episode 6.

"Lucious and Cookie must put aside their differences and work together as parents to protect their family and keep them out of danger. Jamal does his best to get back in the studio and break away from being defined solely as a gay artist while Hakeem struggles with how to feel and act like a man."

Based on the trailer, things will get more complicated as episode 6 features Cookie and her new love interest, Laz. International Business Times says Laz protected Cookie when two men tried to burglarize Lyon Dynasty.

According to Heavy, fans of the show have taken to social media to discuss the theories of who kidnapped the youngster. Some of the more popular speculations include Prosecutor Roxanne Ford and Lucious' own lawyer, Thirsty Rawlings.

In a recent interview with Extra, Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon on the series, revealed what fans can expect on Season 2. "Maybe [Lucious] having a bipolar mother had a huge effect on him."

"That is one of the things we're uncovering," he added.

Howard sets the record straight on speculations circulating that he and Taraji Henson were arguing off the camera. Taraji Henson plays Lucious' ex-wife Cookie Lyon on the show.

He dismisses the rumors by telling Extra reporters, "The only feud we have is who's going to get the weekend off, who's going to work the latest on Friday."

'Empire' currently remains as one of the most popular television programs since its premiere in January. International Business Times says episode 5 garnered a total of 12.2 million views and a 4.8 rating amongst adults in the 18-49 demographic.
