The trailer for the much anticipated film Dirty Grandpa was debuted by Buzzfeed, showing the unlikely duo of award-winning actor Robert De Niro's Dick Kelly, and his grandson, Jason, played by Zac Efron. Entertainment Weekly reports that the first trailer to come out features the two driving around Florida in a baby pink Mini Cooper (that belongs to Efron's on-screen fiance, played by Julianne Hough). As expected, debauchery ensues after De Niro and Efron find themselves in the middle of spring break parties and lots of half-naked, mostly drunk and high college students.
"The greatest gift a grandson can give his grandfather is a hot college girl who wants to have unprotected sex with him before he dies," De Niro muses as Efron listens.
His grandson replies, "Most grandpa’s just want toffee. Or socks."

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that De Niro's character is a former Army general who recently lost his wife, and is determined to convince his grandson that he is marrying the wrong woman. The film is produced by Barry Josephson and is directed by I Give It a Year's Dan Mazer, with a script by John Philips. The film also stars Aubrey Plaza, Julianne Hough, Jason Mantzoukas, Dermot Mulroney and Zoey Deutch.
Dirty Grandpa is Mazer's second time in the director's chair, as he made his debut in 2013's I Give It a Year. The British writer and producer, who is also a long-time production partner Sacha Baron Cohen, opened up about his experiences directing with Collider.
"I learned that I enjoy directing a lot more than I enjoy writing, which is interesting, because writing is lonely and infamous basically," Mazer explained. "You sit down in the morning on your own to write something. You get to the end of the day and it’s not like you’ve cracked it and it’s finished and it’s done, because it can always be improved."
On the contrary, Mazer explained that "With directing, your day is done. When you hit seven o’clock, it’s 'Cut.' That’s what it is. For better or worse, that’s what you’ve got and you have to make that work, and there’s something incredibly liberating about that because you can’t torture yourself."
"You have to focus on the moment, and you have to embrace every second and opportunity and maximize that, whereas with writing, there’s no imperative there. You just amble along," the writer/producer explained.
Dirty Grandpa makes a big screen debut on January 22.
